Description

Flaky, buttery croissants stuffed with savory sausage and creamy cheese, baked until golden and perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 oz breakfast sausage
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  3. In a bowl, mix cooked sausage with cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
  4. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.
  5. Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
  6. Roll up each croissant, starting from the wide end, enclosing the filling.
  7. Place on the prepared baking sheet and brush tops with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Use spicy sausage for extra flavor.
  • Ensure cream cheese is softened for easier mixing.
  • Do not overfill to prevent leakage during baking.
  • Serve warm for best taste and texture.
