Description

Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, these apple fritter bites are packed with sweet apple chunks, warm spices, and finished with a light glaze for a perfect bite-sized treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups apples, peeled and diced
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Fold in diced apples.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan to 175°C (350°F).
  6. Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil.
  7. Fry until golden brown, turning occasionally for even cooking.
  8. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  9. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make a glaze.
  10. Drizzle glaze over warm fritter bites.
  11. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use firm apples like Granny Smith for best texture.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan while frying.
  • Adjust glaze thickness by adding more milk or sugar.
